Adlai B. Wheeles Jr. passes away. His daughter Andrea takes over as President of Pet Haven Cemetery

A second crematorium was constructed to meet growing demand. The new crematorium houses two state of the art crematories and a viewing room. Pet Haven now has three crematories on site.

Adlai B. Wheel Sr. passes away. His body was donated to Upstate Medical University. His son Adlai B Wheeless Jr. takes over as President of Pet Haven Cemetery.

The following spring the first pets were buried at Pet Haven, a Persian cat named "Sannie" and a setter named "Maltie"

On October 1, 1929, just weeks before Black Tuesday and the beginning of the Great Depression, Adlai B. Wheel Sr. and his wife Dorthea made the very first payment on the Onondaga Hill property, cashing in their entire life insurance policy - $600 - to come up with the down payment.
